1. | Properly insert your micro SIM card into the 5G hub. If you need extra support for this, please see How to insert the SIM.![]() |
2. | Insert the charger cable into the device's power outlet.

3. | Plug the other end of the charger into a socket.![]() |
4. | Press the ON/OFF button to turn the device on.![]() |
5. | It will take a few minutes to start up the first time it's switched on. You're ready to set up your 5G hub when the power light is solid green.![]() |
6. | From your smartphone's home screen, tap the Three app.![]() |
7. | Enter your number and tap Enter.![]() |
8. | Tap the drop-down icon.![]() |
9. | Tap Broadband.![]() |
10. | Tap I have Three Broadband.![]() |
11. | Tap your 5G hub.![]() |
12. | Tap Get started.![]() |
13. | Read the information on-screen and find the best position for your 5G hub. If you need some extra support with this, please see Placement of the router. Once you're happy, tap Next.![]() |
14. | On this screen, you'll be asked to connect to your 5G hub by scanning a QR Wi-Fi code or manually going into Wi-Fi settings. For this example, tap Scan QR Wi-Fi code.![]() |
15. | Using your smartphone's camera, scan the Wi-Fi QR code located on the back of your 5G hub and connect to the Wi-Fi if prompted.![]() |
16. | On this screen, you'll be asked to set up your 5G hub. You can choose an auto set-up or a more technical manual set-up. For this example, tap Auto set-up.![]() |
17. | Your smartphone will now start to connect to your 5G hub. Please wait. This may take a few minutes.![]() |
18. | On this screen, you'll be asked to log into your 5G hub. You can do this by scanning the QR code or manually entering the login credentials. For this example, tap Scan QR code.![]() |
19. | Using your smartphone's camera again, scan the Login QR code located on the bottom of your 5G hub.![]() |
20. | You'll be asked to change the login password. If you'd like to do this, enter and re-enter your desired password and then tap Change password. Otherwise, tap Skip.![]() |
21. | If you've chosen to skip changing the password, tap Yes, skip. Otherwise, skip to step 22.![]() |
22. | On this screen, you'll be asked if you'd like the app to remember your details. Tap your desired option.![]() |
23. | Your 5G hub is now set up. On this screen, you can see how your 5G hub is performing and you can get help positioning your 5G hub and testing your Wi-Fi speed.![]() |
