Enable Enhanced data protection


To encrypt backup data:

1. From the home screen, swipe down to access settings.
2. Tap the settings icon.
3. Tap Security and privacy.
4. Tap More security settings.
5. Tap Enhanced data protection.
6. Tap Encrypt backup data.
7. Tap the Off switch.
8. Enter your Samsung account password and tap OK.
9. Tap Generate recovery code.
10. Write down your recovery code and then tap the tickbox next to I wrote down my recovery code.
11. Tap Next.
12. Enter your recovery code using the keyboard.
13. Confirm your recovery code, then tap Next.
14. Tap Continue.

To encrypt synced data:

1. From the home screen, swipe down to access settings.
2. Tap the settings icon.
3. Tap Security and privacy.
4. Tap More security settings.
5. Tap Enhanced data protection.
6. Tap Encrypt synced data.
7. Tap the Off switch.
8. Enter your Samsung account password and tap OK.
9. Tap Continue.
10. Tap Encrypt.
