Complete the initial startup of your device
1. | From the initial startup screen, select your language and tap NEXT. |
2. | Read the End User Licence Agreement. Once you've read the information and agree, tap AGREE. |
3. | Tap AGREE. |
4. | On this screen, you are given the option to join the User Experience Improvement Project. This is a voluntary scheme which involves sharing device usage and analytics with Huawei with the aim of improving user experience. Tap your desired preference. |
5. | Read the Wi-Fi+ and Weather app service permissions and select whether you agree or disagree, then tap NEXT. |
6. | From this screen, you can connect your device to nearby Wi-Fi networks. Tap the network you'd like to connect to. |
7. | Enter the network password, then tap CONNECT. |
8. | Once you're successfully connected to the Wi-Fi network, tap NEXT. |
9. | From this screen, you can add a Google account to your device. You'll need a Google account to download apps from the Play Store or access features such as Find My Device. If you already have a Google account, enter your email address and tap NEXT, then follow the on-screen instructions. If you don't have a Google account and would like to create one, tap Create account and follow the on-screen instructions. If you don't want to add a Google account right now, tap SKIP. |
10. | Tap SKIP again. |
11. | Select the Google services you'd like to enable. If you continue, you are also confirming that you agree to the Google Terms of Service, which you can view by tapping the relevant link. If you're happy to continue, tap AGREE. |
12. | From this screen, you can import data from your old device. If you'd like to import, tap Copy your data and follow the on-screen instructions. If you'd like to set up this device as new, tap Set up as new. |
13. | From this screen, you can add a Huawei ID to your device. This allows you to access Huawei services, such as Cloud. For now, tap SKIP. |
14. | From this screen, you can transfer data to your device either by Cloud backup or Phone Clone. If you'd like to transfer data, tap your desired option and follow the on-screen instructions. Otherwise, tap SKIP again. |
15. | Tap OK. |
16. | From this screen, you can enable the Cloud service. Cloud lets you access and manage the data of any devices linked to your Huawei ID online in the cloud. For now, tap NOT NOW. |
17. | This screen will inform you that you're able to use fingerprint touch control. This allows you to perform specific functions using the fingerprint sensor without enrolling a fingerprint. To continue, tap NEXT. |
18. | From this screen, you can set up fingerprint ID to provide device protection. If you'd like to add a fingerprint, tap ENABLE and follow the on-screen instructions. Otherwise, tap SKIP. |
19. | Tap GET STARTED to complete the initial startup. |
