Please note: If you reset your router, all settings you may have previously changed will be reverted to their default. These include the router name and passwords.
To reset your router using the buttons on the router itself:
1.
Make sure your router is powered on.
2.
Locate the reset hole. This is located on the rear or bottom of your router.
3.
Take a thin, sharp, pointed object (like a needle) and press this into the reset hole.
4.
The router should now restart. Once it's finished restarting, the router should be available for use.
To reset your router using the web browser:
1.
Make sure your router is powered on.
2.
Open the web browser on your connected device and go to the URL 192.168.8.1.
3.
If you have an app compatible device, you'll be prompted to download the app. If not, you should reach the log in web page. Enter the Login password. Your login password is the same as the Wi-Fi password, which can be found printed on the bottom or rear of your router.
4.
Select Advanced from the top menu.
5.
Select System from the left-hand menu.
6.
Select Reset from the left-hand menu.
7.
Select the Reset button.
8.
The router should now restart. Once it's finished restarting, the router should be available for use.
