Find the APN (access point name - internet and web browser)

To view or change the APN using the Huawei app:


If you're using an Android device, download Huawei Ai Life. If you're using an iOS device, download Huawei Smart Home.

1.On your mobile device, open the Huawei HiLink app. Your login password is the same as the Wi-Fi password, which can be found printed on the bottom or rear of your router.
2.Tap Show more.
3.Tap APN.
4.If you're using a 3 SIM in the device, tap 3UK.
Your default APN should be 3internet.

If you want to use another network SIM in your router, you'll need to contact your new provider for their APN info so you can add it here.

To view or change the APN using the web browser:

1.Open the web browser on your connected device and go to the URL 192.168.8.1.
2.If you have an app compatible device, you'll be prompted to download the app. If not, you should reach the log in web page. Enter the Login password. Your login password is the same as the Wi-Fi password, which can be found printed on the bottom or rear of your router.
3.Select Network Settings.
4.You'll see the APN list on this page. If you're using a 3 SIM in the device, select 3UK.
Your default APN should be 3internet.

If you want to use another network SIM in your router, you'll need to contact your new provider for their APN info so you can add it here.
